What about the prospect of Bruno or Calderon being the midfield minder for Vicente, ie in place of Barnes.

Totally agree.......new midfielder to replace Dicker (obviously Essien) and thats the 11!!!
Anyone here putting Dicker in is crazy.

And the idea of a 2 man CM with Dicker/Bridcutt is astonishing. Gus has made it plain that the lightweight and short CM was a problem last season leading to fatigue & injuries.

As long as Vicente and LuaLua play together I'm happy, watching them play together against Portsmouth was brilliant!

Would like (in an ideal world) Backup for Buckley, Vicente, bridcutt and preferably for both strikers.
Oh yeah. Was quickly posting and was nagging at me that we had a left back that wasn't Painter!
Yes, but Dicker isn't worthy of a PL or PL-promotion campaign.
May be a nice bloke, but woefully short of that level.
No way deserves to be in the starting 11 of our current squad. Slow, ditherer, caught in possession, can't track back.
Or just a talented player who's become a figure of hate for a lot of nsc's finest.

That line-up would be INCREDIBLE, but it looks too attacking, I think a 4-2-3-1 is more stable, but of course we'd need to buy a new defensive midfielder.
