we haven't really got a team FULL of spanish speaking players have we? that's just ridiculous...even then calderon for example seems to speak english perfectly well

No, that would be just a fifth to a quarter of a team. But it does seem that the Gus (and Vicente) factor means we can attract players of a higher-quality than we might be expected to from the ranks of the Spanish-speaking world, so I expect our recruitment here to continue. That's 8 players now, 5 were not up to our standard and have gone home, but it is an emerging trend.
My (ever so slight) concern is that when Gus leaves the incentive or desire for them to stay at Brighton goes with him, they are here for the manager. I'm not lying awake worrying about it,but thought worthy of discussion.

He has signed eight players of Spanish/South American origin, its quite a few and an obvious trend

he's also signed quite a few of english origin......but anyway, yes, gus is without doubt the reason those players signed in the first place, but i can't see many of them leaving to follow him to chelsea or wherever. Some of them may leave elsewhere, yes, but some of them may stay and a new manager (who i can't see being anyone who wouldn't be willing to carry on with our current "philosophy") will be greeted by some very technically adept footballers, many of whom will (hopefully) be able to speak english by that point, it certainly didn't take calderon too long......not a big deal at all.....loads of teams have foreign players

Yeah but foreigners generally are bright enough to learn how to speak foreign languages. It's only Brits who struggle with any language other than English. I expect by the end of this season all our Latins will speak perfectly good English, well well enough to understand any British managers apart from Scots and Geordies.
I trust TB to be able to handle any walk out or poaching of Gus. After all we are a very very attractive proposition now.

Well our Spanish players are not getting any younger, by the time Gus leaves i don't think the likes of Vicente and Bruno will have long left at the club.

This was the Gus who inherited a run down team in a ramshackle stadium having proved himself as an assistant at 3 clubs. You are seriously expecting anyone to think the situation with Calde trying to get the job at the Amex is even vaguely similar? Really? I very much doubt TB will share your loose attempt at stating FACTS.
It's a nice dream but it will never happen as you need a bit more than Calde has to take over as a manager at this club these days,
