So Eden Hazard looks set to play in England next year, good addition to the game and looks like a real special, quality player for one team.

Hazard terms 'agreed' with trio | Chelsea News, Fixtures, Results, Transfers | Sky Sports

So your Eden Hazard, you have agreed terms with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea. All that is needed is to take your pick. Do you...?

1. Join City, be part of a superstar squad who are the champions of England who will certainly be defending the title next season with a massive chance of winning it again. Guaranteed a tidy wage but have the risk of non regular game time.

2. Join United, the most successful team in England although the current squad is not as strong as previous squads gone, but be part of of the "next generation" and most likely going to be a key member of the team. More than likely guaranteed playing time and in a team to challenge and make history re-claiming the title from City.

3. Join Chelsea, just won the Champions League and claimed the FA Cup. Like United, a new squad will need to be assembled within the next few years. Uncertainty over the next manager but could be contenders to the title next season depending on who they buy. Again, tidy little wage and most likely guaranteed playing time. Plus, living in a swanky part of London.

I know a lot of people here couldn't give a toss what happens in the Premiership or with the big teams...but some do..:)

Personally, I think he'd shine at United more than City or Chelsea.

Wow, my very own Eden Hazard?

Sorry :lolol:

I reckon we will see him move to City in the next few months. I seem to remember him saying he would be playing in blue next season.
Very good player with bags of potential but a bit of a temperament- he and Balotelli could be pretty disruptive.

Hazard will be a tasty signing for Manchester City despite - Transfers - Football - The Independent

"During the most difficult period of Hazard's Lille career last season, when his club manager Garcia kept him on the bench in an attempt to let him "breathe" after a deep dip in form, Leekens chipped in to say that he must work harder, while his national assistant, Marc Wilmots, went so far as to say that the player possessed a "lazy" mentality and that an uncritical French media were blind to his weaknesses. Garcia protested, saying he thought Leekens' observations were "excessive" and it was against this backdrop that Hazard responded badly to his 60th-minute substitution in a friendly against Turkey last June. He went immediately to the dressing room and was caught by television cameras eating a burger outside the stadium – with the game still going on"

"It was after the national side's 1-1 draw in Greece, his most recent game for Belgium, that while heading through airport security he capitalised on the fact that the Twente winger Nacer Chadli had to remove his watch. He hid the item, prompting a search in which security staff came under suspicion. Chadli asked staff to empty out bins and some players refused to board the flight home until it was located. Hazard's team-mates were not universally delighted that he waited so long before revealing the watch that the flight was seriously delayed"

Man Utd for me. Will be a guaranteed starter there whereas he'll be a squad player at City. I would rule Chelsea out just for the fact that I'd have to see John Terry on a regular basis.

PS. Await mocking for the use of "your" in the thread title

Nobody except a few are regulars at city, look at Richards, been amazing all season, and dropped for last 10 or so games, out of England, people who join city will have to except they will not be regulars, personally I would join utd, as they have the most potential to build a team around hazard

4. Join Brighton and Hove Albion. Although the wage wouldn't be the best, you would be working under a charismatic and enthusiastic management team as well as having the opportunity of playing in the "New Stadium of the Year" award winning stadium in front of 30,000 people. Help a team push for promotion (no better feeling) and play at the top level in the next three years. Be the corner stone of the team and always get a game if you're fit.

I have to say Eden Hazard is quite possibly the coolest name I've ever heard. Personally I'd rule Chelsea out until the manager situation is resolved. You're working directly for that manager and you need to get on with them, even if he gets on with Di Matteo there's no guarantee he'll be there at the start of the season. Even if he is recent history suggests he might not make the whole season, I'm not sure I'd want that level of uncertainty. However, living in London might swing this.

So, for me, it's between City and United. How do you pick, it's a really tricky choice. In some ways City feel like the young up and comers, over throwing the old guard of United. That's a gross over-simplification of course, but that's how it seems if you take the very broad view. On the other hand you have the chance to be part of a real project at United, fitting into the growth of the new breed. The real question is do you want to help form a legacy, or continue an existing one. That's something I honestly can't pick between. As for the manager angle with the Manchester clubs, Fergie seems like someone I'd look up to more than Mancini; he just commands respect even if he's known to not be the nicest of guys at times.

I reckon he'll end up at United, they'll be desperate to rebuild after the disappointment of last season.

Agree he is absolute class and will be a huge star - but City are accumulating a lot of attacking stars and they can't possibly keep them all as regular starters.
True but I think this is partly why they are signing Hazard, Nasri, Balotelli, Johnson, Tevez, for one reason or another none of them play week in week out. I think they are just as likely to 'build a team around' him as any other club.

A mercenary? How so?

his agent said:
One reads many false informations in the papers, it seems very complicated, very long because of the salary issues. It is untrue. We have received the propositions of every club interested, Eden isn't negotiating anything any more because everything is now clear. He just wants a bit more time to make his choice. There will be no try to get higher bids. He will make up his mind after the matches against Montenegro and England, and then he'll go on vacation with an eased mind.

City would be the easy choice, more money offered (you would have thought) and a superstar squad to play with. More likely to win something with City too, they have to be the early favourites for the title again next season. Chelsea and United would be the challenge and you would have thought the better chance at more playing time. They're both teams in transitional periods. Having publicly stating he will be playing in Manchester next season, and then going to Chelsea would appear to many that he has done it for the money.

At City he would be a small fish in a big pond. At United and Chelsea a big fish... you know the rest. Something tells me his ego would drive him to choosing the latter.

That quote from his agent is very interesting, you don't often here people say that kind of thing any more.
