Big step up. Big mistake potentially although I really hope it works for him and for Villa.
Quite fancied him as a Gus replacement - I think he might be safer coming in at a lower level. But time will tell

hmmm.....I'm gonna go Solskjaer to Wigan  AVB to Villa and Ryan Giggs to WBA  (I don't know if Giggs has coaches badges but he'll make a fine manager :p )

Does he still look about 12 years old?

Well done Villa. Good to see a club getting some fresh managerial blood in rather than the same old dinosaur parade of goons like Bruce, Allardyce and Hughes

Complete agreement with C a M. Surprised that a Prem club would take the plunge but all credit to them for doing so. Did anyone see that Hold the Back Page "special?" The journos all agreed that McLeish is a good manager and Winter stated that Bolton's biggest challenge this close season would be hanging on to Coyle. FFS.

Do any American owners want to take Bob Bradley? Was fairly sure he'd end up in the lower-Prem / upper-Champ but may be a club like Fulham, Bolton or Reading with a strong history of U.S. player links rather than owner ties?

double edged sword for us as it opens up the Molde job for Gus.
