Not Luton! Thank God
Changed my commuting route recently and now going into Victoria, so got a Victoria only season ticket. Use my oyster card when I have to go across London.

So yesterday I had to go somewhere via Charing Cross, which used to be where I came into, and without thinking I put my train ticket into the barrier but was let through. Was a bit puzzled so tried it again when I got off and again it worked.

Anyone know why? Would have thought the ticket would be programmed to only work at Victoria?

Are you sure your ticket doesn't say London Terminals? If so then you can use your ticket at any of the London Terminals.....funnily enough

National Rail Enquiries - Travelling to, from and via London

I flit between Charring Cross, London Bridge and Blackfriars and works fine for me.

I know if you go from Shoreham to Vic only, you get it cheaper than if you go to London Bridge, so you wouldn't expect the barriers to work at LB - otherwise what's the point of the discount ??

Fair enough, however I'm sure someone told me that it's cheaper to buy a ticket from where I live (Crowborough) to London Terminals than it is to London Charring Cross even though both tickets are valid to get you to the same place. I guess it's to do with the fact that my trains go into London Bridge and you have to change.
