Spot on. However I would argue a LOT of the long term damage was done in Rafa's final year at the club. Hodgson took over a burning building of a club.

I take it I'm the only one who thinks this was a harsh sacking.

I know they didn't do too great in the league and should've finished at least in the top 6 but they got to 2 cup finals and won a trophy and were very unlucky in the F.A Cup final, I think he'd have done a much better job next season but football is a funny game.
