That's right Beach. The only way theyll be in the CL is by winning it this year. If they do so 4th placed team in the PL will not get a place in the CL. I can't work out why they played the stiffs? The CL final isn't until 2 weeks time?

Makes no sense to play the stiffs in that game though? If they were going to rest players do it against Blackburn, or are they going to rest players again? If so they will be going into the CL off of two disappointing results with a group of players that haven't played for two weeks. Weird, maybe he wanted to check out the youngsters but they were still in with a small shout for 4th.

I don't understand why no-one made a fuss about Shelvey kicking Malouda in the head. Sky showed it once and just mentioned that there contact but if you watched it he was looking at Malouda lying on the floor and just kicked him. It looked far worse than what Ballotelli was suspended for on Parker
