What POSSIBLE reason do you have to suggest that?

He is rested, because he has been struggling with an abdominal injury, that needs time off to settle down. He's played through it while we had something to play for, but now the chance has gone, he is sensibly sitting out.

Constant nonsense on here from the conspiracy theorists.

I'm allowed to have an opinion. I just think someone higher up than us might snap him up, that's all.

Dunk, El Abd and Hall all look good because Greer helps them with his experience and tells them where to go. He is by FAR our best center back. If you can't see that you really shouldn't be watching football.

I wouldn't disagree with that either other than to say the best in the air of our centre backs is El Abd who always gets distance on his clearing headers.

He either wins the header or stops the opponent getting at it and it is on this score I am a little worried as I believe that he will give away a penalty very soon with his muscling of players. I am surprised that he hasn't done so already.

My problem with him, is that all too often he is so completely absorbed in his physical battle with the forward, to the extent that the actual BALL becomes secondary.

Watch Liverpool's first goal at Anfield for a classic example.

I really like Gordon Greer, don't get me wrong, but he isn't above leaving a club he is well placed at, for a better offer. When we signed him, he was Swindon's captain and they just missed out on promotion in the play-off final. We came along and he jumped ship. Quality defender who wouldn't command a big fee, I can see a Premier League team being interested, amd GG leaving. Hope I am wrong.
