Hot Ajvar Sauce

Was given a jar of this over the weekend and have know idea how to use it . Any of you good folk eaten it ? If so what with , on ? Main ingredients are red peppers and aubergines

Can have it just on toast like a red Marmite.

Or use it in dollops in a casserole/stew with (say) minced lamb, but it is not as good as tomatoes for that. Taste can be a bit strong. Goulash.

Side dish with curries like chutney.

Lots of different qualities. The good stuff you can have on toast, but the larger jars (poorer stuff) might be a bit bitter. Medium is best. Hot might be too hot!?

I think it is pronounced I-Jar. Not sure.
