As much as a enjoy my pint of Harvey's before the game, it would be quite nice to try the beers that are provided to the away fans.

What better opportunity to do a real ale tour of England without leaving the Amex.
How about sticking a barrel or two in the home fans concourses.

We could then vote for best opposition beer at end of season.

Jinx.

Send an email to the club. Got to be worth a try although I am not sure Azure are up to it.

I am going to correct myself here, even Azure could locate at least one beer stand centrally in each concourse. All they have to do is make sure they don't over order for each match.

For the Derby game they had a cask of the guest beer in the north stand concourse food outlet, also think they have it in Dicks Bar prematch but dont quote me on that.

they had hobgoblin as the away ale for the derby game in dicks, no idea if they do it for every match, though.

I think Harveys have the agreement to source + supply the local beers?

I have only been in Dicks 3 times, but each time they seem to have the away fans beer (and also sometimes the beer from the previous game or 2)

Do people really go for this as a good idea?

For me the appeal of going to away matches is getting to try the local beers from around the club I'm visiting. I'd hate it if all that was available were the same beers that I'd get at home.

It just provides a bit more choice and variety, if the club can get in a bit extra of the away ales. I think you'll find at away games that there may just be a few more to choose from.

Sounds like its being done to some extent from Dick's

I think it's a great idea and I'm surprised they don't sell more of the away beer in the home end. After all, if there is a new beer every week for the home fans, they're more likely to want to give it a go and try it as they may not have had it before. Which presumably would translate to more sales.

Hopefully, in the not too distant future, we will make it into the Europa League, draw some Belgium side like Genk and get Stella Artois in the stadium.

Worth going in the away end for that one.

Who does the lorry belong to?

There used to be a company called the Beer Seller who delivered beer (real ale) all over the country for all sorts of brewers. Not sure if they are still called that, but I dont think they were particularly unique.

Yeuch! Tasteless fizz. (The aforementioned opinion is not the opinion of everybody but is the opinion of people with more mature taste buds)
