Season Ticket Renewal Letter

Just got a letter this morning about season ticket renewals etc.. and one sentence particularly caught my eye....

"I am sure you will be pleased to hear that we will be freezing season ticket prices at The Amex if we remain in The Championship next season"

Does this mean we can expect a big hike in prices if we make the play-offs and go up?

I think the big thing for a lot of people would be what the difference is between frozen price and premiership price, especially in the current financial climate who can afford the hike.

The one thing that I specifically noticed (apart from the wonderful description of the season so far in the first paragraph) was to do with the transport levy:

It says that they'll take the levy into account when they do the pricing for Car parking spaces next season, so I assume annual car park prices will drop by £30?

......and if you paying by DD you have to make a decision by 27th March without knowing what prices are, whether existing ST holders can move seats or even if extra seats going to be available for next season!!

I like that the letter was personalised, they didn't just write my name at the top. That was a nice touch.

But I'm a bit concerned by the possible price hike, and by the time it actually came into effect, a few payments will have been taken so you're almost committed to the pay increase. I will probably be able to maintain the payments but it is a little bit concerning knowing that they will increase, but you don't know how much. The club were in a no win position though, they've given us the Direct Debit option (which is crucial to me, personally) so they've not really had the choice I don't think. I would rather start paying the DD early and then have it change than them wait until we know either way and then set the DD very high.

Are people honestly surprised that prices will go up if we get promoted? Really??

Mine just said "Dear Supporter" at the top? I wouldn't call that personalised, but I'd say the letter was written in a personal style.
Am I just being pedantic?

No, I don't think that is the issue. Personally, the knowledge that the prices will go up to a cost you aren't aware of, but have already started paying, is a bit concerning. Money is tight, just buying the season ticket is a bit controversial in the first place, but it fits neatly into my budget. If we go up and the cost is much higher, it might be less easy to fit into the budget. Or I might just have to kick this pesky habit for food that I have. I'm not moaning, don't get me wrong. I'd love us to go up and be paying more, it's just the not knowing how much it would be that concerns me.

I am special then, mine has my name at the top. :clap2:

Or of course it could mean prices are going down if we get relegated :moo:

Was mine the only letter that did not include the DD mandate form that was supposed to be enclosed?

Having phoned the ticket office I was undecided as to whether this was the not unusual sloppy admin or perhaps tactical since I paid in full this season and they were hoping I would repeat as less hassle for them.

What a friggin dilemma ... It would be a dream come true for us to get promotion but with no job or seemingly prospect of one I won't be able to afford to renew my ST if we do ... but do I really wish us to miss out because I can prob afford it if we stay in Champ's?

How bad does that feel!!
