With no Glasto I'm struggling to think of where to go this year.

Reading is a festival for annoying teenagers imo. Even if the line up is good I just can't stand all the annoying little bastards running around, ruins the whole thing for me.

The Reading head honcho has promised everyone a free burger and a beer for every day of the festival this year, which should offset the scandalous £197.50 for a ticket in no way whatsoever. Festivals really are in danger of killing themselves with prices like these.

My mate thought he had brought two tickets for Sunday, but he purchased two for Saturday instead!
Sunday is the best day and only day I'd go.

Yeah the Sunday is the only day I would go, purely for the Black Keys and the Foos really. But £200 for two tickets for the day has put me off somewhat.

You're not wrong. It's full of truculent male teens staring at their feet and posh girls boasting about their "straight As." V is full of chavs. Big Chill is dull and full of clapped out ex-clubbers who want to spend a weekend bloody relaxing. Hyde Park is like a very big post-work beer garden drink session.

And I have to say the idea of standing in a field in Reading watching Kasabian fills me with total horror.

Perhaps you're all too old for festivals? Just sayin.

Exactly, When I was between the age of 16 and 24 I went to Reading every year and it was the highlight of my year, more so than Glasto as well, Now the idea of spending a week in a field full of teenagers and slumming it sounds bloody awful.

Ha. I'm hopefully going as well, on Metallica day only though. I first went in 1985 on my 17th birthday and the last one was 1988.

Dont think its the best line up myself - good headliners though. Not going as i cant afford it - might go to the IOW Festival next year, went last year and was pretty good.

The 6 days I spend at Glastonbury are still the highlight of my year.

Not seen The Cure for about 7 years so will be at Leeds on the Saturday, unless the Albion are playing at The Emirates that day.
