WHY oh Why does everyone keep banging on about Rednap is the only man for England.

sports reports today are saying that Arsen Wenger, Jose Muriano(sp) and Josep Guardialo ( Barcelona) are in the running..

What are Rednaps qualifications? apeart from being English? he has won sweet FA.
Even Wenger in my eyes would be a better candidate, I vote for Muriano.

Also idiots like Chris Evans on the radio, this morning he said " it has to be harry no one else is close".......again WTF does Chris Evans know about football to speel his crap?

Personally id like to see redknapp in the england job becaue it would be interesting to see what the press do with their favourite pal.

Id love to see how they deal with the conflict between wanting to help out their mate harry and wanting to engage in their main pastime of trying to get the england manager sacked.

It would be very funny if Jose got the gig. Harry thinks he has the job already.

I think Redknapp is seen as the best English manager which at this moment in time (in terms of league position) and he probably is, although he has had a nice bit of cash to spend. I'm not sure about his credentials as England manager though, he's not going to be able to throw money at it and will have to somehow work with what he's got.

p.s. it's Harry Redknapp, Arsene Wenger, Jose Mourinho and Josep Guardiola

Can't say I feel strongly about an English manager, but do feel that a command of the English language before he starts should be a basic requirement. This is what f***ed me off about Cappello, who had the front to trouser his £6m a year and could barely be arsed to learn the lingo.

Arsen and Jose speak better English than the youth of today (footballers) Im not sure about the barcelona chap..

Surely it should be best man (or Woman) for the job.

Just saying he( or she) has to be English or speak English as a first language is a bit un PC in this day and age...

If we are going to be crap - let's be crap in the spirit of the competition. Being crap and effectively cheating is, well, humiliating.

No one sees it as cheating nowadays. Otherwise by that logic all Brighton players should be from the Brighton and Hove town borders, they're representing Brighton and Hove.

i dont think he was suggesting that english had to be the first language.. i do think that the ability to effectively communicate his ideas and instructions is essential.. i doubt id get away with getting a job in italy and not bothering to speak the tongue. not the same i know, but i would have expected some effort to adapt.. Ol' Fabio didnt seem to want to or think he needed to.

The thing I hate his him being referred to as the "Nations Choice". He's not the nations choice!

In fairness one FA Cup in a 35 year managerial career is immense. And three administrations too!

TBH We could have all 4 and we still wouldn't be good enough ,our time will probably come round again , but can't see it happening in the near future
