All he needs now is to get a load of coke and punch an airline stewardess and he's won 'Codner Bingo'.

We could always get Roman Bednar down from WBA too.

ps I wonder if they have anybody on their books who's not averse to handing out a few slaps on easyJet?

Wasn't driving while suspended Robert Codner's first transgression?

I suspect that driving whilst disqualified meant he had no insurance either.

A lot of what ifs now. If he had played, maybe Vincelot wouldn't, no red card, at least 10 men on the pitch. Could have won...

Alternatively, maybe not

Wouldn't Reyes have been playing at rb, where he has played every game for us. Vincelot would still have played, El-Abd would have been on the bench IMO

You may be right fella ... I was thinking about the bloke who's just over the limit ... thought he was OK and it was a marginal thing. People do make mistakes, it's a one off, they never do it again .. I was thinking in that context. Of course it's wrong and I'm not condoning it by any means but I can see how people make these mistakes

If you drink at all, you shouldn't drive. end of. Not that hard is it?

Exactly. I don't think the club will bid for him until after his court case as he may get prison for driving whilst disqualified. He's West Brom's player for them to discipline.

Wonder if Gus knew what he was up to? Kind of difficult to hide isn't it?

"How you get here Jara?" "Ermm Taxi boss" "so what's the big f*** off Audi doing in our car park?"

I'm not creative enough to finish that little conv ... assume some will

really? I'm certainly not condoning the driving while disq.- far from it. But for me the act of Drink driving is by FAR the more serious offence.

Completely agree hans kraay fan club, Driving whilst disqualified = stupid. Driving under the influence = dangerous and bang out of order.

Mate I'm not condoning it in any way shape or form but just trying to rationalise what happens to people. In Jara's case I saw someone say he was twice the limit over so it's kind of academic. Even then I wouldn't necessarily scuttle him out of the club ... but having done that and sticking two fingers up at his punishment bloody right I would

Worthing
What would have happened if he'd had an accident or worse hurt someone. Didn't someone in Hove get killed by a disqualified driver not long ago. Illegal immigrant too I think. Everyone wanted to string him up

You're assuming that Gus knew he was disqualified from driving. He may not have let on.

You do understand the difference between driving drunk and driving while disqualified don't you?

I do, obviously. Are you suggesting that there is a seperate lesson learning for each and every type of misdemeanor Reyes involves himself in?

FWIW, I obviously think Reyes has been a total arsehole.

So do I. He's damaged goods now. West Brom won't want him back and doubt too many others will be chomping to sign him.
Another little ruse by Gus similar to his masterstroke of not playing LuaLua before signing him permanently? "Give Poyet junior a lift in your flash new motor will you Jara, you'll be fine I promeez" *reaches for mobile*
