Many many years ago i was in Bridgetown, Barbados me and 3 white girls went to a party on the roof of a big hotel, a cricket reception party for the touring leeward islands, Keith Boyce was our host and personally invited us, after a while it became obvious that we were the only white peeps there and got asked to leave, it was not a pleasant expierience i can tell you ???

Yes but has a black schoolchild ever hit you in the playground?

If its not got a london postcode it's not london, no matter how much people might want it to be, remind me what the postcode of sutton is ?

There are places within the london borough of Sutton with London postcodes, the same can be said of almost all outer London boroughs.

I'm sure it's contentious whether Sutton is truly in spirit, a part of London. However, the fact remains , it has been part of London since 1965 AD. Regardless of Bushy's opinion on wheher it's real/racist/poor/riddled with minorities enough, dem's the facts boss.

Parts of Morden and a small part of St Hellier have SW postcodes but are still within the borough of Sutton.

In Croydon there are areas with SE, SW and BR post codes.

i'll guarantee you that nowhere in morden and st helier have sw postcodes, as to croydon, since when has BR(BROMLEY) been a london postcode.

I went to a BBQ, a stone's throw away from Morden Hall this summer and the girl definetly had an SW postcode and definetely paid her council tax to Sutton council.

Not sure why I said BR with regard to Croydon ;-/

i don't think anyone would argue that you see many Pearly Kings and Queens knocking around there. Tooting's hardly The Bronx though is it!

I have been abused for being a Catholic a few times, not racist but the religion comes with my race I guess.

I know that according to AA routefinder it's a grand total of 6.2 miles from Sutton and is classed as a borough of greater London as is Sutton. That much I do know. I also know that my Step Sister lives in Tooting and she is the whitest woman I know, housewife, member of born again church, 3 kids and a graphic designer for a husband. Lives in a lovely place.

Then how can you comment on it "hardly being the bronx " then ?there are worse places, and there are nicer places, its demographic has changed hugely since the early 80's, it was a lot more of a white working class/west indian make up then.
