Lewes to Brighton flyover just past Falmer going to Brighton. Car turned over on roof, numerous police cars, ambulances and fire engine.

Family of 3 on hard shoulder with blankets. Look ok.

Tail back will be horrendous. AVOID.

Seems to be turning into a bit of a blackspot there doesn't it ?

Too much gawping at the Amex I reckons.

In a cave
I was walking between meetings on campus and was wandering where all the sirens I could hear were heading! Not nice.

Wasn't actually near the Amex, for what it's worth, it was on the uphill stretch towards the Hollingbury exit on the westbound side. Well out of sight of the Colosseum.

About half a mile from the Amex.

Not that "horrendous". One vehicle involved. Minor injuries only. Not at Falmer. Road re-opened.

Keep Calm And Carry On.

UPDATED: Tailbacks after car overturns on A27 in Falmer From The Argus)

Tailbacks of more than three miles have been reported on one of the county’s busiest roads after a car overturned.

Road policing teams were called to the A27 near the Hollingbury interchange, Brighton, about 9am today.

Police said a car left the carriageway and turned over on the embankment.

No other vehicles were involved.

A police spokesman said the occupants of the car are reported to have suffered only minor injuries and are being treated at the scene by paramedics.

Queues have been reported back as far as the Kingston roundabout in Lewes as the westbound carriageway was closed near the junction with Lewes Road.

A police statement issued at about 10.45am said one lane was now open.

It looked pretty nasty when I went passed with the car over turned and the family on the hard shoulder in blankets. Silly me, nothing to worry about, just a normal incident. Still I will not bother posting again trying to help fellow drivers from a delay they could avoid. Carry on as you say.
