When was the last time my baseball team won the World Series in the same year as my football team were League Champions?

That's right its never happened before.

Quite a routine game 7 last night, but all the drama was the night before and poor Texas just didn't seem to have recovered.

I was watching. No expert on this game but it seemed like Texas pretty much handed it to St Louis last night. Like you say, the drama was the night before.

A bit Harsh ....

In game 6 they were one strike away from the World Series, not once but twice ... in the ninth and tenth innings they led by 2 runs, only to be pegged back on the verge of winning. And initially led 0-2 before losing 6-2.

For the sheer drama, game 6 was one of the greatest sporting contests I've ever witnessed.

I was watching game 6 on tv in Japan. Texas really blew it didn't they, twice being one strike away from victory. On the plus side it meant I didn't have to write anything about the two Japanese relievers winning the world series (although neither were in the roster)

I just happened to flick on ESPN America at the top of the 9th, glad I arrived just in time!
