Worthing
I was sitting in the lounge on my own watching TV years ago, and out of the corner of my eye I could clearly see a blonde girl sitting next to me wearing stripy rainbow socks. I turned to look at her and she disappeared. A few minutes later, she reappeared, again in my peripheral vision. This went on for about half an hour.

Mind you, I had been smoking a lot of marijuana.

When I was 7, I saw my grandfather who had died a few days before. I was with my mother at the time and we both saw him as clearly as anything...

I was living in Buckingham Road in Brighton in a three storey house and we had a flat on the middle floor. The Sunday night routine was to have a bath and then because it was winter and no central heating (1967 this was, ice on the inside of the windows etc.) run from the bathroom along the hall, in a striaght line to the lounge where a 3 bar electric fire would be ready and waiting!

On this occasion, my mother wrapped me in a towel and we came out of the bathroom and prepared ourselves for the dash along the hall...however, we stopped immediately, as we both saw my grandfather standing at the end of the hall in his big brown overcoat and hat, smiling at us! I remember looking up at my mother and saying: "It's grampa!" - she said very quietly, "yes, it is...". I broke free and sprinted towards him, but he turned away and went around the corner and presumably up the stairs to the next floor (he lived in the flat above as we shared the house). Of course he had disappeared by the time I followed him around the corner of the stairs. There was no-one else in the house (my mother checked thoroughly!).

My mother and I both swear that we saw him clearly standing there smiling at us. I've never experienced anything like this since and am quite sceptical about this kind of thing, but I know what I saw and the fact that someone else saw exactly the same thing at the same time really does make you think.

I'm not trying to convince anyone about anything as this kind of thing doesn't really interest me, so take it or leave it...

The Goldstone-Ghost username has nothing to do with this either!!

Fair play Goldstone Ghost. When I saw your username as the most recent post I expected a windup, and no one needs those on a serious forum such as this.

I personally am a sceptic. I am open to the possibility of spirits etc but always try my utmost to find a logical natural reason for strange occurrences. In my lifetime I have experienced plenty of odd goings on but can only count one or two as almost completely unexplainable, and even then some clever dick could probably find an explanation. As scary as it might be, I'd love to have an experience like the one described above.

In the house I grew up I used to head bangs and crashes alot when nobody else was in our house or next door (I used to go and cheeck). Used to get the feeling of being watched alot, or you'd think youd heard someone move. Never had it anywhere else since, that's in 6 other houses.

i went and stayed in a house in dover over looking the white cliffs for new years, as soon as i stepped in the house i felt sick, everything about this place sent me mental, i was about 14 at the time and i demanded my Mum sent me home and she knew there was not a hope in hell of me staying in that house, i would have slept in the car. So Mum took me home and i stayed with my Nan. During there stay there people said they see a ghost, i didnt see it but i new there was something in that house.

Also when i was a manager in a pub, i felt i had a ghost experience but after some research i now think it was sleep paralysis, i woke up and i couldnt move a muscle and couldnt even make a scream, i was trying to scream for the other manager but nothing, it felt like i was being pinned to the bed, it stopped after about 2 mins but felt like for ever, one of the scariest experiences i have had
