OK, Zamora's been gone a long time, and the subs bench isn't great, but -
1). How do you think this XI would do against our current team? - and
2). Which of them would get into our team now? (Zamora, Bennet, Hammond and Crofts for me).

Crofts was a key member of a Championship promotion side and plays regularly for Wales now. Bennett is establishing himself in the Prem.

Agree there isn't much else, Murray aside, I'd consider an improvement on what we have.

Exactly - and whether or not he makes it to the Premiership, that's what we need right now........and Hammond is looking like one too, although I agree there might be some prejudice because he walked out on us for Southampton.

But then. we've never been good at this selling game, have we? We got a fair price from Liverpool for Lawrenson, Celtic did us a favour with Virgo, but apart from that, every player we've sold would have had another nought on the end, or thereabouts, if they'd been sold by Southampton
