I guess you'd have to be fairly young, but anyone here going to their first Palace match tonight? Can't remember mine!

Yes this will be my first one. I'm 27 so it's a poor effort from me really.

Am 19 and it's my first. Glad it is too as I can fully appreciate it now.

My first Derby was I think about 1980, missed all the shenanigans in the mid-1970's.

Must admit I haven't been to one since the "Game of 5 Penalties" back in 1989. The recent ones have all been on the box. Until tonight...

Just hope it's a clean fight and there's no bad crowd trouble, whatever the result.

I think this was the last one I went to....

Was it featured on Saint and Greavsie the following week, and the commentator said 'Well, there is obviously someone in the stand that Curbishley does not like! " ?

I remember the last one (2-3) just about to go onto the running track and said "At least we haven't lost to Palace this season", then McAnuff stepped up...

Yes I think so. It wasn't me..I think we were all laughing at the ref by the end.

Palace didn't exactly cover themselves in glory, they missed 3 out of the 4 the were awarded. It gradually got worse, the first went in, the second hit the woodwork, the third went wide and the last way over the bar!

think you'll find that the final one that John Humphries (played for BHA as well) hit over the bar is now in orbit around Pluto...............

You know, to this day I'm convinced Hopkins missed that last one on purpose because it was such a laughable penalty award. None of the players, not even Palace, knew what he'd given it for. And it cleared not just the goal but that bloody great terrace that used to be behind the goal - I'm not sure it's landed yet. How the hell could you do that by accident? You'd have to be pretty shit to... oh, hang on....
