Looks like in addition to being an excellent player (albeit no longer at his very best), he has been loyal to his club when presumably he might have become a classic mercenary earlier in his career. He can be assured of a warm welcome - and in many ways I think he will be a positive influence behind the scenes. He has certainly generated some excitement amongst the fans - which is an excellent start.

and YES he maybe a gamble , but every signing tends to be - hence Gus and Tony I think played it shrewd with having him on a years contract , with the option of another year - if it works out we've got a firework of a player , but it's going to take time for him to settle in and obviously with the record of injuries rest him tactically - but hey we're not short of wingers now are we?
