CMS must be looking at the current £-shaped raincloud looming over Sven's management career and the increasing levels of unrest around Upton Park (before even considering the recent management shambles at QPR) and think to himself.....

thank god I came to Brighton for footballing reasons.

I think any player who ever signed up to another one of "svens revolutions" is taking a massive risk.

I do think however, West Ham will be ok and probably end up going up.

Any team thats ends up above West Ham will be promoted .... if one of those is us , and CMS has scored 20 plus then .....hello Premiership. I dont think we will..and will fall short THIS season... , BUT CMS's football education under Gus will be the best thing that could have happened to him. ( As could be applied to a lot of the guys here ). And well done to CMS for making the choice. HE will become a legend here...i can see him being talked about , in years to come, in the same breath as Wardy . He's a very special talent .

The nearest 2 teams that finish above west ham will probably go down as well.

Simply matter over money, he saw us inthe flesh over two games last season, liked the style of play, like Gus Poyet, loved the new fantastic new stadium that is the AmEx and Jesus, isn't Brighton just better than Peterborough, or Leiecester etc or whoevever else was chasing him at the time.

Sorry...didnt actually answer your question . Coming here was for the football...any of the other clubs that were in for him , would have offered much bigger wages . And i think now that he realises where this club is going... and is going to have fun as well.as we all are !!

this in a big way but also his goals have now virtually paid his transfer fee and more and we are only into the season by a few weeks

Didn't you read his comments? he'll be gone soon
I hope so. It'll probably mean that he's exceeded expectations here and got us into the Premier League. If Poyet and CMS leave in a couple of years, with us in the Premier League and one of the finest stadiums in the league expanded to 30,500 owing to demand, do you honestly believe that means you've somehow "won".

We'll still be light years ahead of you and your crap club, Nigel. :bigwave:

I think people over-look this too much. Like any career its a change in job but also in location and lifestyle. The fact that Brighton is such a great city will influence players decision. Im not saying its their highest priority, just that i think fans (of all clubs) over-look this too much.

Unlike Palace we're not a selling club, looks like Ambrose will be on his way before the window closes.

Ambrose is no good now apparently, well according to their forum. In fact, according to some, he has been no good since Warnock left. Yes that is the same player that before the season started we didn't have anyone of his class. The he is shite/great/shite/great thread about Gardner is mildly amusing also. Garvan also to a lesser extent!

We are building a very young team to hit their peak in the Prem in maybe 3 years, around HIM

He is a leader and top talent and probably on our top wages, less than half what that lot up the road are touting but still a massive increase on what he was earning. Better to start here for 10k than bench warm for 12k at one of those other options I'd have said. Do think he'll be on something like 1k match and 1k goal bonus to up that 10k 'max wage' to around 12k but nothing like the 22k Palarse fans reckon unless they see him scoring 10 every week and being an ever present?
