Well done to those people who refused to pay the club's "inflated" prices for the Sunderland game.

You missed a full-strength Albion side playing fantastic football against a virtually full-strength Premier League team and beating them - a great occasion that will go down in club history. Oh, and you would have got an extra 30 minutes for your money.

So congratulations. I hope you're enjoying reading about it all this morning while feeling pleased with yourselves for not contributing to the furnishings at Dick Tight's Spanish villa. Probably not as much fun as it was watching it ...

That's a bit out of order NAN. I couldn't afford it and had another engagement, not gutted to have missed it all. Absolutely delighted with the result though, and I am ENJOYING reading everyone's accounts of a fantastic evening.

I can't make the Peterboro game on saturday, now that I am GUTTED about.

Unfortunately I missed it, had tickets for WSU and was so excited but had a family bereavement early afternoon that put paid to that. Glad all those who attended thoroughly enjoyed

Very harsh - some people are on a budget and paying top whack for a league cup game is not top of that list is it. If I had only been able to get my usual season ticket at £37 I very much doubt I would have bothered

Did anyone's not-attendance deprive you of anything? I'm glad you live locally, and I'm glad you had the time free and money available to attend. What do you want - a peanut?

Supporting a football team is not a competition. Even if it was, what do you 'win' - nothing.

Well done for not being grown up enough to realise that some people need to prioritise their spending. Oh, and before you ask, I did go last night.

Idiot. Could have afforded it but it is about choices of time as well as money. Delighted for those who were there, sorry for those who would have liked to have been but couldn't afford it. We're all still supporters...aren't we?

I am sorry for your loss VS. I do think the original post is a bit below the belt. I did go myself, but had it been last week, I wouldn't have been able to go.

Well NAN must be loaded living in Seven Dials and having a stable for his HIGH HORSE so he can afford to go to every game. Do you stand on your soap box to mount your high horse by anychance.....

I was away but got back early, even at the Amex you cant buy a ticket on the gate or after 4pm on the day of the game it seems. Sorry but I feel you are so high and mighty NAN I need to give you my excuse for non attendance

I defence of the OP, people on here were saying that a 2nd rd Carling Cup game, albeit against Prem opposition, wasn't worth that amount of money, rather than "they couldn't afford it."

But I guess your opinion on what something is 'worth' does ultimately depend on how much you can afford.

Have you considered that some of the people who didn't go maybe couldn't afford to?

Mocking people who are probably less well off than you, pretty poor form that

I shall remember in future that paying my Mortgage, feeding and clothing my children MUST come secondary to watching The Albion in order to attain Super fan status.
