Beating Millwall in the Eighties 1-0 at their place, with them on a thirteen month home unbeaten run. Sphincter-testing coach ride away from the ground

Pretty much agree with all those and was at every one except Hereford where I couldn't get a ticket but would add somewhere the 1-0 win at Anfield in the league which from memory was the season before the cup win.

Beating Derby County and Ipswich Town (both League Cup Games if I recall correctly). They were Div 1 and we were Div 3.

Sorry old chap but the Blackpool result was 2-1. Agree with most of your selection though.

Can't disagree with those, but spare a thought for a couple of games against Villa - the Charity Shield, and the 2-1 at the Goldstone in 1972 which kicked off our promotion run in - best game I ever saw at the Goldstone, and John Templeman's surging run and Willie Irvine's sublime finish...........embedded in my memory that one! I also remember being 3-0 up at half time against Palarse one Boxing Day - and the Palarse fans hurtling down the road afterwards with the mounted police at the gallop in full pursuit!

Ended Forest's ridiculously long unbeaten home record as well.

Sorry chap but the final game at the Goldstone was Brighton 1 - 0 Doncaster - Storer got the only goal!

I won't bother correcting as others have already done so. However, other than that it's a pretty good list of which I only missed one of those games (play-off game).

Beating Derby County and Ipswich Town (both League Cup Games if I recall correctly). They were Div 1 and we were Div 3.

We beat Ipswich in the second round and WBA in the third, going out at Derby in the 4th after a 1-1 draw at the Goldstone.

I agree with all these. Also the midweek 1-0 win over charlton that set up the Blackpool climax on the Saturday. 30,000 inside the Goldstone and tense as hell.
