australia, japan, south korea and usa were the other 4 bidders for 2022 and they could ALL host it perfectly well, without all this PISSING ABOUT

japan, south korea and usa have all hosted it fairly recently, whereas australia haven't AND:-

-they f***ing love sport
-they have experience of putting on large sporting events well
-they already have some bad ass stadiums in place

if you think we were ripped off for 2018, i think it's becomming more and more apparent how badly australia were ripped off for 2022

We will never know if the right decision was made for 2018, but every single bidding nation was ripped off because of the tax payers money involved in putting these bids together. At least you can make a case for Russia hosting it on its own merits.

shameful to us as fans, but not the FIFA exco whose brown envelopes are stuffed with large ones
Quite. What worries me is that the WC is the flagship tournament for the game, and yet the 2022 decision could do a lot of damage if we see unprecedented apathy towards the tournament there. How many of the players are going to want to play in that heat in a tournament that people are lacking interest in?
