Anyone following this? 100,000 watched the first two matches apparently (71,000 for the Germany game).

I assume this is going to be a bit like rugby world cups where the group stages are basically a formality in all but one or two games, and the real competition starts in the knockouts?

All England matches on the red button and on-line, live on 5 live, highlights on BBC 2.

And like the football and cricket world cups in that case ...

Live on Eurosport (and on BBC red button and website I think) then highlights on BBC tonight

Plenty of games that are too close to call in football

But it's always a big shock if one of the top 5-6 seeds goes out at the group stage in the (ahem) FIFA World Cup. Still, let's not start a heated debate on this, eh?

Wise words. Instead, why don't you post some pics of some FIT birds taking part?

Post #8 before that suggestion came up, NSC is obviously mellowing slightly.

5pm kick-off tonight, I shall probably be making use of the fast internet connection at work for that and catch the second half at home

Must admit, I missed the whole Google-gate episode while on holiday - but does the new puritan policy now mean that you couldn't even post pictures of women football players with KIT ON? Sounds a bit harsh.

The German team will be favourites as its on home soil. The Americans will also be strong, same with Brazil. The English are a good bet for the semi-finals.

Some of the women from the German team recently posed semi naked in Playboy.

There is also a video on youtube which is NSFW.

Anyone watching the Women's World Cup?

England v Mexico starting soon on the red button, come on the three lionesses.

Can't beat the quality at this tournament
