Last night's game and Gus' football philosophy

I think the most important thing is for the club to set up its whole coaching system to play with this philosophy. Then when Gus leaves we simply replace him with someone with the same ideas and carry on developing, instead of going back to square one each time we get a new manager.

My boy (8) trains with one of the development centres and they have been teaching the kids to play this way for the best part of the last year or so

For many it has taken this long to unlearn bad habits already, in addition to the parents trying to coach from the outside too but the message is getting through
