I think the point he lives in Cheshire is the biggest clue to this rumour.. he has many millions in the bank.. into his horses and aint gonna leave it for us.. this rumour started on NCS and has absolutely zero chance of happening.. think about it.

Didn't need to think about.

As I've said on here before, for those same Cheshire/family/horse owning reasons; this factless link to the Albion was only ever a complete lie.
And we could never afford those wages.

the rumours are rife that owen is coming to st marys...haha
whats he playing at..the rumours are rife that he will re sign at man u....and then they will use him as part of a deal to get alex chamberlain.....

neither of us will sign michael owen....more so seeing as you would not pay to keep your start striker, let alone pay for owen..

load of utter cobblers

Feeling is that the star striker simply demanded far too much. His agent tried to get a dutch auction going between Albion-Southampton-Millwall-Palace, and bizarrely the Club with the least money met his high demands. Time will tell if Freedman blowing much of his budget on Murray will pay-off.

are you deluded?! Why on earth would you want Owen at the Albion?!!!!!!!!! Too much on wages, zero hunger, no possible improvement. Utterly the wrong thing to do.

Hate to mention it but in fact we've already signed one of our star strikers, cost us a down payment of £500,000.

Its not that we couldnt afford to Keep him, more that we didnt think he was worth the money he wanted, on top of that he got a hefty signing on fee at Palace by all accounts, something we werent offering.

the term star and the player called hoskins do not go...sorry

It's all about the best team and the blend of players not star players, I'd have thought that might have got through by now, 2nd placed Saints fan :lolol:

Michael Owen does NOT live in Cheshire!
He lives at Saughton Hall which is in Flintshire, North Wales ... about three miles away from where I am currently sitting!
His wife and children are very settled here and would never move. Even when he was at Real Madrid and Newcastle United they stayed put.
That said ... he could well commute, especially with Kempton, Goodwood and Fontwell being so close!
