In fairness plenty of YOUR fans have been questioning why on earth Murray would leave BHA for Palace! And you didn't really have one of the meanest defences did you. As for neutrals and superiority, the bookmakers, not known for their subjectivity, have us top priced 25/1 to win the division and you 80/1.

Where do Brighton fans get the idea that Palace have no money as our club owners are very rich Palace supporting millionaires.
They will not just splash the cash for the sake of it, but that does not mean that funds will not be made available for the right players.

The main reason we struggled last season was that key players missed half of the season due to injury namely Ambrose and Danns who had scored over half of our goals the previous season.

Our Administration meant that we were not able to sign any players until the eve of the new season as we were still under a transfer embargo and we were forced to play a very in-experienced side with an average age of about 22 and many were drafted in from our outstanding Academy much earlier than could be expected under normal circumstances.

This season will be very different as we will learn from our mistakes and have much longer to strengthen our squad with finances being made available by our owners.

Palace are now debt-free and on a much sounder financial footing and Administration has made the club much stronger with a very exciting future.

Our amazing support has won plaudits from visiting fans and away from home many other clubs have sung our praises for our vociferous support and non-stop singing at matches.

We are so grateful at the way things have turned out since our CPFC 2010 Consortium saved us from extinction and now have a future to look forward to.

It is good to renew our rivalry and gives an extra spice to the new season.

Not sure anyone is sensibly saying that. They are, quite rightly, questioning the rights and wrongs of a post admin football club offering 10k per week to a Div 1 striker. Is that justifiable in your view?

Palace are planning to move to a new 40,000 capacity stadium which surely shows the ambition of our new rich owners.

Whilst we are being civil on here what is the situation with the ground and how much money will be needed to improve it/move? As I'm sure this will have a big impact on the teams finances or is there some separate arrangement for this. Whilst I hope for your sake that the new owners are step up from the total bellends you have had running the club in recent years, are you not worried that the figures being bandied around in this thread could see them repeating the mistakes of the former owner in trying to spend their way out of a division too quickly?

You hanging onto Speroni last season has to be the biggest mystery in the western world. Anyone else would have stuck their chin out and walked by now.

They've made a lot of noise about it but that's all. You can guarantee that the good citizens of Bromley won't be happy about the desecration of their precious Crystal Palace (the real one) for the sake of a chavy and pikey football team. I should know, I live there. You'll probably end up having the same fight as we had with Falmer, that's assuming you don't go into administration again.

Speroni and Ambrose would be good signings for us, are they available then? :)

I'm not denying Palace have a few half decent individuals, but I've had the misfortune of seeing them quite a few times this season and last and they are a dismal team.
Murray would be a quality signing for you, and you are right to be excited about the possibility but it'll take a lot more than Glenn Murray to make Palace a good team, especially if Danns is leaving.

In answer to your question some Palace players must already be on good contracts as they resisted the temptation of offers from Premiership clubs and signed extended contracts with Palace instead.

Speroni signed for another 3 years and so did Ambrose and Zaha.
