Bloody nora, who would have thought plastering NOBO across your chest would be worth so much money.

Vintage Brighton Football Shirt 1986-87 | eBay UK

I don't recall having 3 subs back in the mid-80's so what's with the number 14? Maybe someone can remind me when 3 subs were first allowed?

f***ing HELL!

I have Dean Saunders' long-sleeved No.10 shirt from the same kit, shoved in the bottom of my wardrobe! I actually tried it on last night, as I was thinking about wearing it to the game tomorrow.

£400! Ker-f***ing-CHING!

Superstition, numbers tended to be 1-11, then subs were 12 and 14, because 13 is unlucky. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I believe that is why there's a 14.

Newbury, Berkshire.
Sadly, although I have this kit in blue without any sponsors logo ( as I bought it from the Adidas Shop in Tottenham Court Road circa 1985 ), it's way too small to fit me now. The absence of the logo was during the interregum between Phoenix Brewery and NOBO, so I'm assuming mine was a mock-up that was never supplied to the club as the NOBO sponsorship deal had just been signed.

But I certainly didn't pay £ 400, I think mine was around the £ 19 mark ( and even then I thought they were taking the piss a bit ).

Annoyingly I recall the shop had two in stock, a medium ( which fitted ) and a XL ( which was way too big at the time but would probably be the perfect fit now ) - if only I'd bought both.......

Blimey, that was years ago, didn't really appreciate the value of these things (well the amount people are prepared to pay)! I'll offer you plenty more right now for it.

Someone asked this about the red one;
Q: Hi, not sure if you are interested but do you have a buy it now price at all? I would be prepared to pay £75 if that would sound fair to you? Please let me know either way and thanks for your time
A: Hi Thanks, but I will be letting the auction run its course. Cheers Ed

Someone asked this about the blue one;
Q: Hi will you take a buy it now of £40 for this shirt please i can pay instantly via paypal thanks kate x
A: Hi Kate Sorry but I will be letting this auction run its full course... Cheers! Ed

CLEARLY a JCL with money to burn! I only know of two idiots that would have previously spent that much on a shirt.

Gonna put it out there then? With it being worn by Deano might even get more!

i have no idea but , its my fav shirt of all , i purchased 1 a few years back for £55 it has a few pulls , still got it and wouldnt part with it , i guess its horses for courses in these type of things, if somebody wants something bad enough and has the money they will pay well over the odds .

If its in good nick and you wanted to sell it i would put a reserve of £100 on it , if it sells for over that i would say you have done ok but thier maybe a few punters out there who want one and the price soars, if it does not sell then you still have a blinding shirt

What you have a match worn white Sandtex? If so, yes worth a pretty penny. If just a replica, not a huge amount.

I'm definitely going to have a think about it. £400 would pay for the iPad I've promised myself.

Deal! New 16gb white iPad 2 then? Subject to condition of course!
