I've just about had enough. watching barcelona vs real madrid this evening is just horrendous! Players are all over the place. i just saw pepé do at least 4 rolls after a totally exaggerated swan dive, stay on the floor rolling in 'agony' and then bounce up a few seconds later.

El Classico is becoming a spectacle for all the wrong reasons and to be honest, i hate the way football is heading. i believe it is time for the authorities to step in. I reckon they should analyze the game and give 2 match bans to any player who falls to the ground without being touched, and give the equivalent of yellow card to players rolling around on the floor after the game.

something needs to be done about this and ruling with an iron fist may be the way to do it.

am i the only one who thinks this??

In my computer
exactly why I can't watch it anymore, I have enough stress at work without having to sit through that which makes me unbelievably angry..

Just think of all the kids (who want to play football) up and down the country who are watching this....

Nope totally agree. Makes me laugh wehn one team accuses the other of unsporting behaviour when they refuse to kick the ball out when someone is injured, and 5 mins later they dive and roll around trying to get a penalty and a player sent off.
In my view any degree of simulation (regardless if it is a foul or not) shoud result in a yellow card and no free kick being given.

barca are f***ing awful for it

Its ok though. They play pretty football. The fact that they are diving, cynical cheats gets swept under the carpet...

Funny how, whenever anyone gets close to winning against them someone gets sent off for a weak decision.

I thought you meant Jacques Cousteau was involved.

South Wales (im not welsh !!)
It's clearly rubbing off on all levels of football, I am involved with Bridgend Town AFC ( Bridgend Town AFC - Homepage ) they are in the Welsh Football League, Division One, and you see players at that level trying it on!! in my opinion it should all be stopped, the same as shirt pulling on corners and free kicks etc, send them off and after some examples are made it will soon stop, but Ref's need to be consistant with this at the top level so it shows all other levels it wont be tolerated!!

So impressionable at that age, they watch the so called greats on telly and then on a Saturday / Sunday morning go out and try and copy them, from there on in it's downhill all the way!!

f*** it, make it a season long ban, then the clubs could refuse to pay them for the season, then it would stop.
