It was an exciting and entertaining football match and no one was sent off, the ref played his part in providing a good afternoon for the spectators. If all matches were like that one we would need a new stadium for 40000 fans, well done ref and thanks for a great match.

Barnes must have been fouled about 10 times and they never get a booking, then one foul by Elphick, possibly the first by ANY of our players, and he got booked.
Also, wtf was up with adding on about four minutes after we'd scored? That was annoying. But I've seen much, MUCH worse refs.

Why would i not remember the game? Are you assuming i "like a drink" on match day.

No- far from it. I'm just suprised that you can't remember all the events that I listed. As for being a 'keyboard warrior', you were the one who was demanding whether I was there or not (as if it entitled me to an opnion or not). Anyway, lets stop arguing. Superb result.

Do not think that anybody can complain about Elphicks yellow as it was a blatant foul but at least stopped their attack so just rewards and I am sure his team mates will appreciate him doing it.

The ref was a 3/10 today for the reasons that have already been stated in this thread. He was very inconsistent and not strong enought to card the gobby Carlisle number 10.

The lino on the South side also had a poor game; at one point, I thought he was sleep walking. He missed a couple of handballs, so did the ref, and failed to give any fouls where our players were elbowed, pushed or kicked. Total cvnt IMO.

I reckon it was bloody harsh meself. I mean, Kaiser Elphick was only an hour or so late with his, ahem, 'tackle'.

It was indeed a great result.

Ref was average today, though Carlise should have got a couple more yellows, but Elphicks was fully deserved. Wood was definitely offside for his goal, I was right inline and he just went a couple of seconds too early.

Strange one seemed to miss some basic decisions (handballs, fouls) but then got somethings spot on (or his assistant did i.e. re Wood and his offside 'goal'). Did seem to be in his own world at stages

I thought he was onside myself and the linesman went too early.

I felt the referee was good today. From the start he showed that he was not going to give free kicks in response to 'tumbles' from players. Barnes in particular seemed to be going down far too easily at the start, with a view to getting a free kick rather than as a result of a foul. This allowed the game to flow and we had the benefit of some excellent entertainment.

With all the substitutions, goal celebrations and some obvious timewasting the referee was clearly right to allow the extra time at the end. It fact given the home support and state of the game at the time, it rather strengthens his performance.

This was the ref at the Bournemouth home game who gave a free kick outside the box then gave a pen! Total twat !

I think a few people are missing the point to be honest. Carlisle scored in what the 2nd minute of injury time? If the ref hadn't added on 5 minutes injury time we would have probably gone home with only a point today.

What was annoying was the length of time we had to play after Bridcutts goal. But in hindsight like others have said two goals were scored in injury time so that would allow for the delay in blowing the final whistle.
