I did hear a rumour that the club shop has teamed up with Gresham Blake to produce a natty "1901" line in matchwear to include blue and white striped blazers and boaters with a blue silk lining.

All this thread needs is a certain poster threatening to chuck peanuts into my straw boater.

See if you can lob up some of your prawns into mine

Will send out a strong signal to the rest of us, don't mess with the 1901 or we will stuff prawns where the sun don't shine...

To the person who said men over 12 shouldn't wear replica shirts, I can't be bothered to go back and find it to quote it, what about ladies over 12?

Really? I find it weird when people don't wear replica shirts to watch their team, I see it as part of going to a match and showing your support for the team. Each to their own though.

Likewise, If your on your way to or from football I see no problem, think it shows pride in your team. And as for class I didnt realise football was a fashion show!

so if polo shirts are acceptable, but replica shirts are not, what about the old fashioned, cotton, buttoned/collared retro shirts from 70s and before?

Really? If this is true - and I have no reason to doubt it - then I'm going in the same hat as the lady bottom left (assuming I'm ever permitted to the marble halls of the 1901); the one whose hat is apparently about to be set on fire by a viscious cad's pipe.

So does that mean if we're playing Leeds you won't be allowed to wear a white shirt?
No white shirts will be fine. It will be very easy to spot replica shirts - they're the garish bits of nylon tat with a company name blazoned across the front.
