TV Repair needed

Had a number of problems with my Samsung HDTV, it is now displaying a constant flickering.

I have looked in Friday Ad, looked up local TV Repairs etc, just wanted to know if anyone on here knew anyone personally that was reliable and not too expensive.

I'm fairly certain from reading similar symptoms online that my TV needs a new motherboard, if that helps with ideas for cost?

my Samsung TV emits a high pitched whine every time its left on standby, the fact you can either have it off at the plug or on standby, without being able to just switch it off on the box annoys me deeply, last time i get a samsung

I've used a company in Woodingdean, DBS Technical Services they're called. 01273 605665. I've taken all manner of junk to them over the last fifteen years and they've either repaired it or told me to chuck it away! Friendly and reasonably priced, have no hesitation in recommending them.

I've never used them myself but my mum's brought her last couple of tvs from there and been impressed by the place. Any problems or querys she's had they've dealt with no problems.
And it's supporting local trade too

If the TV is more than 4 years old get a new one. Have you checked your HD box and scart connection?
