having a few lunch time beers and reminiscing about times gone by.

it is five years on monday since anastasia died. our son cal who was at the brighton leeds game that following saturday still talks about how you all clapped for her at half time. and we all remember the cards, donations, flowers, emails, posts you sent to us during that time.

but the point of this post was that at the time i know a lot of you went and donated blood or signed up to a donor. which was great. but if you are able please go along and do it again (and again and again)

give blood

platelets

bone marrow

tissue donation

we miss anastasia every single day and you never know, it might be your platelets that stop another family being forced to miss their loved one.

have a good weekend.

Good to see how much you still care about others who are suffering Starry. Can never forget the way you told us about Anastasia on here. You are always a very welcome poster.

Best wishes to you and your family.

You and your family are still very well remembered on here Starry. No parent should have to go through what you went through.

Wishing you all the very best.

Starry has a point, they have lost something precious to them, and only 8% of the adult population give blood.

I accept that some people cannot give for medical reasons, or are in a group who are unable to give it, but the rest of us have no excuse except laziness, and children are dying in British hospitals as a result.

As for those who don't give on religious grounds, I have no time for them whatsoever.

I do still remember to donate each year and I carry my donor card with me. Can only imagine how your loss lives with you. Well done for doing your bit for others

I echo that. Too old for lots of the donations but I have given blood in the past. Must do so again.

All the very best to you and your family.

Sadder for the parents who suffer a loss of a child due to someone's invisible friend telling them not to help others?
In fairness I have to point out that it's only a very very few who feel like that. I'm CoE and my invisible friend is more than happy for me to help out.
