Honest question, if we sold Murray for £500k and bought Le Fondre for £750k, would that represent good business to you?Why is gus deluded?murray has been very up and down and certainly hasn't scored enough goals,yesterday certainly helps his cause though.

No. From what I have seen, Le Fondre is not as good as Murray.
I'd agree of course, but I'm particularly interested to here sir albion's view on the matter. Le Fondre will go because some idiot will pay over the odds for him, despite the fact that Chris Holroyd was his equal in the short time he spend tearing up division 4 defenders this season.
Murray's game is, and always has been, about so much more than simply putting the ball in the onion bag.

I find some of the criticism of Murray quite ridiculous, I can only presume that his detractors have no idea about the game.

It seems to me that Gus will attract loan players of well run clubs, and he'll provide us an edge for players given more than one offer at similar pay. He won't be enticing players who are regulars in the Premiership.

You clearly have forgotten the DISGRACE at Brentford away. I had spent an innocent 90 minutes singing 'Leave her she's a slag', 'Ditch the wife, ditch the wife, ditch the wife', and One in Ten Glenn REFUSED to clap me at the end of the match, I joined in the 'WANKER' chants along with two bus drivers from Hangleton and a carpet fitter from Woodingdean.
Frankly if we still had hanging I would have noosed him myself that day.

But one could then argue the opposite, that he's putting himself in the shop window to earn himself a move away.

I agree the standard of strikers is seriously slipping in the championship,murray is brilliant at most things bar scoring lots of goals and he won't get many in the championship.I agree another quality striker and murray would be a great partnership.
This could be murrays best scoring season as i believe he's never scored more than 14 in a season

Looking at the way Murray has been playing this season and his recent interviews, i would say Glenn definately wants to be a part of this clubs future, in fact to quote him directly he said "Who wouldn't want to be here" in a recent interview.
Murray's agent is no doubt trying to say that Glenn is a 20 goal a season striker. This sounds to me like Gus has said i agree and once he has proved it by scoring 20 goals i will offer him contract (A). Until he proves it i will only offer contract (B). The ball is in Murrays court and i for one think he will get contract (A) while firing us to promotion along the way.

I think one of the key parts of that Gusquotation is in agreeing with the agent to wait to see what Glenn wants. You can read that in a few ways, but i read that it seems Glenn isn't entirely sure of what he intends for his future yet. I can't see him having a problem with staying on and maybe making that move up a division, but i don't get the impression it's what he wants most. Have to wait and see i suppose. Maybe all sides are keeping their cards relatively close to their chests.
I do love Glenn. Hated him at Brentford that day, but i do love that he can outleap any defender in the league. And he's a good finisher when he's got his arse in gear. Be great if we could keep him, but if his heart still beats in other directions, then i wouldn't begin to feel betrayed.
