Me too. I haven't bought any of Mrs P's pressies yet

The weather and the students should make for an eventful days shopping

Give over, the students determination not to pay higher tuition fees will be WIPED OUT by their greater instinct to stay in, drink beer and make snowmen...

You'll see more snowdust than students today...or perhaps the weather is now down to tax-payers....global warming and all that.

What to do.
I'm nice and cosy here, but I really want a bacon sandwich and I'll probably fancy a beer later on. So I HAVE to make it to the shop.
The problem is that the shop is in the next village. I did try to drive to work yesterday but it took me three hours to travel what normally takes 15 minutes. Needless to say I turned round and came home. If my journey had continued at the same pace it would have taken me another 6 (six) hours to get to work.
The extra snowy dump has left me thinking that driving would be stupid as the lanes were attaining similar properties to the Cresta Run last night.
The big question is do I stay in the warm but baconless and boozeless or do I walk accross two fields and through some woodland (and back) to get the alcohol and swine based provisions that will be needed for the rest of the weekend?

Get the shovel out and go for the walk. You can survive being baconless and boozeless for one weekend. Can you survive into the next week though? Out of interest, what village are you in? I'm two and a half miles from Sharpthorne, where there is a shop. Not sure how much it'll have left though.

I left Churchill Square about 12ish and there were certainly more police than students there

Just issue some tickets that will pay for their overtime . Where they proper police officers or Plastic Comical Support Officers

Why would they send PCSOs to a protest march? What use would that be?
