I think the thread was dumbed down from the beginning! cheers!

you might want to have a little look back at your 7 incisive comments on this thread and congratulate yourself on how much you've added to the debate. I'm sure you will be pleased with your contributions and well structured points.

Not a debate in my view, just a spilt brat moaning about our new stadium, hence my comments.

This fiasco. This crazy fiasco.

AT LEAST WE GOT THE MOTHER FUCKER! I'd happily sit in a palarse shirt, singing palarse songs in the away end if it came to it JUST because i'd want to eb part of Falmer. I've spent my whole life knowing nothing but Withdean. I wanna sit north stand for money reasons and the atmosphere but i'm in priority block 4.

If push comes to shove i have to get some bottle over the stand and sit upper west. Point is i'll be there. Priority has worked out well. Priority 1 A, then 1b, 1c, 1d...

That seems a logical way of doing things my self.

The club patently think there are. How else to explain this PR disaster?

Because it is aimed at attracting kids to start watching matches sitting next to their dads and old STH's to reapply and sit with the mates they used to sit with.

Can it be abused, yes of course it can, but so can any system.

Do you realistically still have a choice of about 10-14,000 seats to choose from, yes you do.

It's all ME, ME, ME Tom, once again.

I find your self-appointed role as apologist for a blatant injustice a bit bizarre to be honest El Pres. It's not about'ME, ME, ME' at all. To tell the truth I don't KNOW how many years I've got as an STH without looking it up, probably about five or six or something, and I'm quite happy to wait my turn for a ticket, but I'll add my full weight to highlighting the unfairness of the thing. Just as you've added your full weight to the opposite viewpoint. I just think you're trying to defend the indefensible. Doesn't mean we can't still be friends

You must clearly have some intelligence because of the job you do.....(although you're camouflaging it rather well on this thread).....but I think the +3 issue is not pre-dominantly about it being a good/bad idea, but the order of who has first choice etc on selecting a seat at the Amex.

As for attracting the 'kids', I understand that under 16's STH's are not offered this facilty. When I was 12-16, I only went to watch the Albion with my school mates. The club has missed a trick there to encourage 'kids' haven't they....?

.

I can see this and it's perfectly reasonable but why are the +3's allowed to sit anywhere, and not necessarily with to the STH?

I agree that's definitely an oversight. It's a loophole that should be closed by the club because it's not what this policy is about. It should only be about sitting with your mates/family

Simontheseagull has posted a question on 'ask the club'.

I look forward to the response from Insider. .....especially as the Board have.... 'Thought long and hard about this'

+3's are permitted to choose seats anywhere in the stadium. If this was the aim then +3's would be required to sit with the STH.

I agree that seems a bit daft, and I am sure this was not the intention of the +3 idea. The club does claim to have systems in place to prevent abuse.

Trying to be empathic with the position of the club, they stated that all STH would be guaranteed a ticket at Falmer, and have kept to that.

They also have stated that existing STH would have priority, here I think they are being a bit disingenuous. There is some degree of prioritisation, but not as much as you (and some others) would like.

Ultimately the Albion is TB's baby, and he doesn't want to be subsidising you and I (and whether we like it to admit it or not he has been doing this for the last five years at least) for evermore, and if +3 results in more bums on seats at Falmer then it cuts his operational losses.

Let's be honest, NONE of us actually know where the best seats are for atmosphere, singing, abusing Ken Brown about his choice of shoes etc etc.

at the end of the day, he has a genuine concern and he has raised it in the way that this board has provided for him...yes you can all jump on the westsussexseagulls bandwagon and abuse him, but and I will aim this at the MODS, if you don't like what someone has put on there to be honest, that is tough.

There are some genuine concerns people have raised regarding allowing people 3 extra people to possibly jump the queue and sit where they would like ( in fact didn't Bozza actually state that he would set up a sub forum to put people in touch with others who had this option?) I can understand if those STH's would be allowed an extra 3 seats ( or applications) IF they had to all sit together....it turns out this is not the case, SO you may get a situation ( MAY MAY MAY) where a long standing STH who comes from the North and has supported the Albion for 35 odd years, a majority of them as a STH cannot pick the seat he wants because some person who has never been before and has "jumped the queue" has got there first. Yes I know its unlikely, but .....

Anyway....so long as my padded seat has an arm rest and a little slot for my cocoa mug in the arm and decent leg space so I can fit my tartan rug over my knes ,and there is not some little scroat shouting C*NT at the top of his voice near by I will be happy.
