So what's everyone's first impressions of this titan of a game?

I rather like the zombie mode. Exploding zombies is always a great pass time. Other nice additions such as theatre mode are a welcome boost along with much better on line maps. Haven't played much of campaign yet though.

Also did anyone one get the hardened edition? Wanted one but couldn't really justify extra £25 pounds when i only wanted the zombie map pack.

Your thoughts?

Under your skin.
Would it be worth having a Black Ops gameplay thread? Would be nice to see how good NSC are.

Can't get my kids off it. Tried to call "bedtime" twice, but at 19 and 15 they are not having any of that! I have a nasty suspicion the youngest missed school today but I can't prove it without calling the school and dropping him in it!

At college today - class of 25 kids. 11 of them didn't turn up today. :lolol:

Only bought it as it was £29.99.
MW2 sold out massively (hence every spotty 16 year old going nutty over it). Let's just hope Black Ops isn't just people running round with dual shotties firing from the hip.

YOU HAVE A SIGHT, USE THE DAMN THING.
MW2 = Play & spray.

Serious question.

I got my 11 year old the hardened edition for the ps3. (already had mw2)

Right or wrong?

I got bored of these games after Doom. I can't believe the country is going nutty over it.

AFTER Doom?!?! RUBBISH BoF, Unreal series was fantastic, Quake 1/2 had their moments. Half-Life 1/2 then the Counter Strike mod......those were the days!

Gotta admit I've not been a fan of FPS games since I stopped mapping for them, I played Doom3 for abit but never completed it...had a shit PC then so might re-try it one day.

I know NOTHING of this Balck Ops though, might check it out one day should I get bored.

I lied (inadvertently). I just remembered I used to play Medal of Honor (sic) on the PC and that was rather enjoyable.

I may of dabbled in MoH, Battlefield and early CoD, Crysis was alot of fun I remember and its follow up (forget the name). Played them in bits & pieces but not religiously like I used to do with FPS games in the 1990s/early 2000s, staying up til 5am making maps and shit like that.....quality times!

As long as they don't have a headset to talk over Xbox Live/PSN. There is nothing worse than having someone who hasn't hit puberty yet screaming down their mic because they have run out of n00b-tubes.

He has the headset, but (at his own suggestion) agreed not to use it for this, or mw2 for that matter.

And he could beat you lot........!
