Last season, he was poor, out of position most of the game, played suicidal backpasses, and generally dreadful and heading away from the club.

Along comes Gus, showes faith in him and he is as the Americans say, our MVP ( most valuable player) by an absolute mile.

I hold my hand up, I am now a fan....blimey what a collosal performance today!

What a great day to be a Brighton fan today

Gus said in an interview, 'He listens to me and does as he is told'

How many players think they know better than the gaffer?

He has certainly improved but has been at played centre back (his preferred position) and is having a good run of games. He was never dreadful.

Why on Earth has it taken you until today to realise how good he is?

because I thought he was being covered ( if that is the word) by the rest of the defence, BUT being in the front row today so you could see close up just how good he actually is!

How good was Greer today ?..excellent by the sounds of it.

he slotted into teh system extremely well and looked the real deal.

Interesting to see if Gus feels this is his best side

Felt sorry for Tommy as he has been a rock but GG slotted in very well and was far more comfortable with the patient style of play Gus wants. Good on the ball and some sublime balls forward with one superbly weighted long ball for BEnno to run on to .

Back 4 sorted methinks and despite the fact that Casper has lead boots at least they know he WONT be coming for crosses and have to deal with them...no ambiguity = solid defense......

There'll be the inevitable injuries and suspensions. Having six for four across the back isn't exactly luxurious, and Elphick's days are coming.

Granny what did you think of Pawel Abbott, your or Huddersfields ex player?

I thought he looked ok, but was let down by poor crossing, poor service and a fantastic defence
