But let's not get carried away. With 22 points and a GD of +7, in 2009, we'd have been in 3rd place, and in 2008, we'd only have been in 5th place. Our form this season doesn't put us into anything like an automatic promotion position.

Yet.

Our form is two points a game, over a season that's 92 points which would have put us two points behind norwich and comfortably in second  .

The league seems to be a lot more even this year throughout the entire league table. No big clubs dominating and no one hopelessly adrift at the bottom just yet. Makes for an exciting season and reminds me of 2001-02 which was also a close run race for most of the season.

I'm feeling down cos Southampton and Sheffield Wednesday have started winning. They were always going to be the biggest threat. If we hadn't had the ludicrous decisions against us yesterday and against Rochdale, we'd at least have a more than decent head start.

The 96th minute goal against Oldham? Total euphoria! :clap2:

Let's enjoy every minute of being top of the league. It will continue and there's a buzz about every game now.
