'Like' button on NSC?

Lots of posts make me chuckle. Or sometimes I wholeheartedly agree with what the poster is saying. I feel the need to let them and others know, but don't want to clutter up the board with "this' posts, or smilies.

Would it be good if we had a Like button on posts, like on Facebook?

Is it even possible?

Aw Lush.
I MUCH prefer a personal response. If I could do away with the 'Like' click on Facebook I would. You call it clutter - I call it reaching out and....touching.

Yes, yes it is possible - I looked at it a few months back.

However I decided to not implement it until I updated the version of vBulletin we run on and I've still not done that, despite doing a few preparatory bits.

Hopefully I'll get round to it next week and implementing a Facebook like button onto threads will follow shortly after.

Oh - alright then, just an idea.

In fairness, its probably a better idea then people posting "this".
But I still think a little part of me dies inside when its just a 'Like' rather than an actual response.

Blimey and on the flip side will there be a dislike button, or is it a one way street?

There's only 'Like' because what it will do is post to your Facebook feed that you like a particular thread on NSC, hence letting your real world chums know there's something that it might be worth taking a look at. Facebook don't have a 'dislike' button yet!

Christ glad you said that! Last thing I want to do is let everyone, including the people I work with know that I'm posting on here all day!!!! It's all very clever though isn't it.

It's not that hard copying my videos and stuff to your Facebook page is it? ;-)

Under your skin.
Think it would be a good idea, maybe it could be used as some kind of rep level.
