Pre Season Friendlies. What have we learnt?

We have learnt that the poster who calls himself Steve Foster spends his time hoping that we lose so he can keep bouncing his stupid thread from May. Watch him disappear if we have a good start.

What I would ask people who are moaning is why we are suddenly so crap after a few average results against lower division teams (bearing in mind we beat Bognor 2-0 and drew at Eastbourne before bringing on our youth team)? In the second half of last season we got 38 points, pretty much a play off position. Suddenly, despite only losing Crofts (who we have replaced with Sparrow) and Lua Lua of the players who played in the majority of those games we are going to be bottom half? How does this work when we have strengthened by bringing in players like Kishishev and Greer?

Sorry pal, nothing would give me greater pleasure for the Albion than to win the league. However, I suspect that I have been watching the Albion longer than you & can see the warts clearer than when I was younger. Our friendlies so far have shown that we are someway from where we all want to be.

This. Mr Foster I don''t see how it can be argued that after our strong showing in the second half of last season, the team strengthening that has taken place (yes it has) that we will be at the wrong end of the table. Of the friendlies I would prefer to look at the performance against Sunderland as the marker.

I would love to know what your agenda is here. Your constant negativity is a puzzle so perhaps you could enlighten us. I don't suppose for one moment that you are the real Steve Foster, but if you were that might help to explain it as it was rumoured that he had a consortium interested before TB took over.

Exactly. Interestingly, he chose not to answer the main part of my point. Instead he chose to say that as he has been watching longer than me he must be right. However, he fails to argue why the second half of last season should be ignored as we have lost a few friendlies. Says it all for his argument really.

I don't remember him always being this boring but I have a feeling it is ever since Forster was sold that he has been slagging off the club at every opportunity. For him to say he would be pleased if we do well but yet take pleasure in pointing out how right he was whenever we do badly is ridiculous.

Whoah whoah, what's all this about a Steve Foster consortium?

I have no sauce, just a vague recollectiion that his name was bandied around on here as the man to take the club forward. No doubt someone can confirm or deny

Right, so we were excellent at the end of last season, we've STRENGTHENED that team since and we're now going to do worse.

Someone PLEASE explain that logic to me, I genuinely can't get my head around how that works.

Don't skirt around the point or bring up irrelevant issues, answer the above or you are just being negative and talking bollocks.

He was part of a consortium with Stephen Purdue (sp) but it never materialised and I think that he is now part of the consortium that owns Luton. The Steve Foster who posts on here is just a name that the poster uses as per most on here. It is not Steve Foster with the head band and a BHA legend.

Thanks for clearing that up, glad it isn't. Presumably you know who the poster is so will know whether it is , say, an ex-player with an agenda or just a miserable git.
