Pleased to say I have now lost 25lb and hence am a Quarter of the way to target. never thought saying "only 75 pound to lose" would sound good lol! This month is nearly up and after a very slow start with pedometer, where i could hardly hit 5000 steps in May I have managed to average 10,500 a day. thanks to all for your support. Great to progress from very obese to just obese
Normally i take the piss out of fat gits but when people such as yourself make a big effort all i can do is applaud.

Won't call you a fat fuc$er i promise:lolol:

I have for obvious health reasons (Heart problems) to lose a heck of a lot of weight. I weigh 336 pounds (24st-2lb)! My aim in 2010 is to lose 6 stone at a manageable 7 pound a month. That will get me down to 18 stone. Once achieved I would like to get to 16 stone for the first Falmer game. As the usual Slimming clubs are a bit pricey for me, I will bore NSC with occasional updates and you have my permission to give me grief any time:smile:
not that permission is needed for that of course.
I am determined to do this.

A quick update of my efforts, thus far. End of june was 29 pound lost, next weigh in now end of this month. had a bit of a plateau for 10 days, partly i felt it was due to a change in medication that had some iffy side effects, also to some workouts with the weights, went up 4-5 pounds but lost it fairly quick. would love to hit 40 lost by around a months time

Hi all, back online after 6 months away from internet connection! so my first posting just had to be what at the time was becoming a forlorn hope, of losing weight. Was a yoyo effort in 2010, but this year i started again and can happily report a Four Stone loss and still going. Glad to be back on NSC

Good luck fella please keep us posted as hopefully it should make some great reading, all going well, esp as many of us will be joining you.

I went to my doctor, about this time last year, with my recurring bad back.
Being a keen road cyclist, I'm always at my heaviest now, and can shift a stone, quite quickly (cutting out beer, chocolate and drinking more water), anyway dr says your back would be better if you lost some weight.
All very blaise, I replied the above yeah yeah no worries, he then said 3 stone should do it .
Tough nut to crack, which I didn't, last year.
So will try again, with you, this.

Ok Chaps, now that H61 has told us about his sterling work how have the rest of us faired?
There were a fair few potential dieters here in Jan.

As predicted I dropped a stone very quickly, then a further 8 lbs, before the summer, and have worked hard to keep it off.

My grand master plan is to do the same again from Jan.
But unlike every other year, doing it from my current 13 stone, and not the wrong side of 14 1/2.

I do have a massive incentive in Sept, so although it's going to be so hard, I'm not going to have a better opportunity.

Just thought i would bounce this thread as when I started it, i had high hopes, that then faltered. yo-yo'd and all but came off the rails only to get up and running again. I have been off radar for week or so, but last two weigh-ins have been a total of a further 6.5 pounds, total this year is now almost 5 stone. I started Slimming World 11 weeks ago this coming Weds, and have lost 2.5 pounds per week

Need some advice on things been told to go on an Alkaline diet, im struggling to keep food down, i have had blood test after blood test, and cameras and all sorts and there is nothing physically wrong, but i have now been told that they feel it could be an acid issue, i been given acid meds but also told to look at my diet, and the receptionist told me to look at this Alkaline diet.

Has anyone done it or aware of someone that has
