Just been down the park playing with some mates. Played with some people and as they left I went to ask a group of four mates if they wanted to help make teams up. So we started playing and I could see that one out the four was clearly the best and I thought there may be a chance he played for a County or Ryman side at Youth level perhaps. Then I asked who he played for he said 'brighton', i asked 'so are you playing for the youth team' and he said 'oh, i'm signing a PRO deal tomorow for Brighton'. And then his mate told me his name was Conor Wilkins.

He was reasonably, same bulid as Navaro. Strong and a powerful kick on him. Apart from this he wasn't anything special

Do you think its fair to sum up a player from a kick around in the park...?

He has moved on as I am sure at either U15s or U14s he played for Peacehaven Youth Sussex Sunday Youth League Dic=v 2 so fair play to the lad.

I even spoke to Dean in between wasted shouting at the team as we went down 5-1

I know him as he went to Newman, as did Grant Hall, but obviously both very different players. Conor always looks pretty strong, good on the ball and can hit it from distance, havent seen Grant play an awful lot. I know a couple of people re-sitting the year, and both say George Barker is far ahead of both of them, as is Lewis Dunk (but believe he's a year above).
Chances are, if he was playing at the park on a wednesday evening, he probably wasnt even giving 50%.

Searched for his face. We (as in my lot for Wednesdays) have played football with Conor Wilkins AND a kiddie who was in the HARLIQUINS YOUTH ACADAMY (My mates boyfriend knew him). He wasn't even putting 10% of what he coudl do on. He actually said "Oh i can't be bothered" when the ball went past him today, after our match with the forigners (5-3 to us). :clap2:

He's a Southampton SPY.

I was thinking the same thing during Calderongate! I think he plays with a number 5 on his back too, so perhaps the lettering boffins could replace the Wilkins with COLUMN? :glare:

ermmmm! no
looking at some of the reserve highlights on player he looks OK and looks a bit like his dad
if Gus thinks he is OK then he must be pretty good and looking at him play he looks what I would call "cultured" and I might also say that if he was to start showing any craft on the park he might likely get kicked up in the air by some meathead trying to show off.

Why not! Didn't we used to sign players after watching them on a DVD!
