Thats right, a reliable source has informed me that Mcghee will return to Brighton and Hove Albion in their final season at Withdean, to take over the away dug out as Aberdeen take on the Albion in a pre season friendly on the 31st July. (If he hasn't been sacked by then)

What reception will he receive? Will anyone even turn up to this game?

(90% sure I was told)

If he doesn't get anything other than a f***ing good reception then it is living proof that Albion fans are utter knobs

Indeed. He had a challenging time whilst here with Knight and Kazim-Richards, but he managed to keep us in the Championship for two seasons. An under-rated manager.

Great friendly if true.

I advocated at the time and still to this day that he shouldn't have been sacked and seeing as the club have arguably gone backwards since then only reinforces the point, he should get a teriffic reception and I will be coming for this game if it goes ahead.

That a f***ing long way for a Friendly !
I know Mark still has some roots and is a regular visitor to Brighton, but for the whole team/ backroom staff etc, its a long way for a single friendly.

And to the question, he should get a standing reception nothing less.

I would assume they are doing a southern tour, much like Celtic a couple of seasons ago.

Think they have just announced a friendly against Micky Adams' Port Vale for the 27th July.
