anyone know of a good US web portal to enable watching of US web channels (HBO etc)?

alternatively links for fast proxies would be appreciated.

not sure of the exact urls whether it's .com, .net, .cc etc, but google those terms should give you something.

Or try hotspot shield which hides your location and lets you watch us videos on line from hulu (though might have to disconnect and reconnect sevral times until it assigns an acceptable ispn) etc.

It can slow down the connection, but what I tend to do is turn the shield on, find the video, then when it starts turn the shield off. As long as you don't have to reload the page it should let you continue watching.

Good work - always wanted to see Deadwood before shelling out for the box set - 1st episode is great, off to Fopp rightaway!

Going back the other way, across the pond, apparently Top Gear has been the most illegally downloaded show in the US, for quite some time.

Trying this, very infuriating!

Yeah, I barely ever use it. Turning it on really slows the video down, but once the video has started if you right click the icon by the clock and disconnect, the video should continue loading, and perform better.
