Its silly the amounts are so high, that must put people off
I do agree. That's why I went direct.

Mind you, I surprised myself in that I raised £900 simply by emailing friends and relatives, and yet only one person sponsored me over £25!!
A bit of knocking on doors, writing to corporations etc and I might easily have doubled that.

Yeah i got 500 with out really trying.

I dont understand the thinking, 3 x 500 is the same as 1 x 1500 plus they get more advertising.

Just a quick bounce for those interested in running it next year. They've listened to feedback and plan on making some small, appropriate changes.

I honestly think Brighton will take it's place as a proper big name race in years to come, especially if they're ever confident enough to move the timing out of London's shadow.

Beat me too it, i was going to post that this morning.

Im glad they have addressed the main point of shoreham harbour.

Also, i can believe non runners where using the toilets before the race..... :facepalm:

My only concern is that they do need to widen the course in the first part of the race, as it could be a nightmare with anything more than 10,000 runners.

when does entry open for this? i am planning on running this next year, The London ballot opens May 4th.
