The Soviet Union used to make the victims of its show trials publicly confess their sins. Has Brown's Politburo now implemented the same soft of regime?
Looks like railway passengers are first victims of the purge?

Who are going to apologise next? Real ale drinkers for excessive farting? Gym users for offensive pubes? Withdean catering for lack of forks?

It was Mussolini's Italy where the trains ran on time.

British Rail punctuality is a strange beast the train operators only say a train is late if it's more than 10 minutes late - this is particularly perverse if you're relying on a connection; so if you miss your second train and get in half-an-hour later, you're not late according to the operators. The operators also don't count cancelled trains as late nor trains affected by adverse weather.

Personally, I think some Soviet style apologies from the likes of Crapital Connect would be just the thing to kick-start this new trend.

Yes and Network rail train punctuality was the best in railway history in the last year but lets not have the facts ruin a good story :dunce:

Also the Station at Surbiton is run by South West Trains (Stage Coach) and not Network Rail, so If we want to moan about anyone, we should moan about the right one ie South West Trains.:bla:
