Bugger me. I felt a FULE for being taken in by this yesterday BUT I did think it was a nice idea.

If it is for real then I for one should be delighted. Coloured lighting effects are well smart

How many clubs have a smaller away contingent against us because of the crappy conditions of Withdean? Surely it works in reverse, the better the conditions the more fans are likely to show up, which means we make more money.

I know the immediate counter argument: "If they have more fans the away teams will perform better"

Well, right now I have enough faith and belief in Gus and the team, that it won't matter how many away fans there are or how noisy they are, our boys will still be too much for them.

So if all the away fans are wearing yellow, and they have yellow lights, won't it lessen the effect somewhat rather than enhancing it?

There is a touch of that, but as you can see, they have 'open' walls, which was very much appreciated during summer 2004.

Probably not so welcome on the South downs in January!
